officially graduated

final exam result is out today. alhamdulillah, all exceed expectation. FYDP yang nanges2 the night before presentation pon dapat A-. ok la, consider dengan nerve breakdown nye & hidup macam burung hantu. muahaha. thanks all, FYDP mates, (keyrol, puvi, shaheen, edi), FYP supervisor&mate (Dr. Ku Zilati & Nade'), lecturers, family & friends. new life phase at last, yet we will always learn, at least until we die, or not. ehe

jom recap before graduate to do list.


1. midnight every wednesday--> not every wednesnight, but can say almost everyday after finals
2. wear ridiculous harajuku style in bright color. muahaha-->not ridiculous enough, and not harajuku. but people staring and glazing and ...
3. peninsular malaysia hopping, by train perhaps-->first train trip ever, batu gajah-kl, but not peninsular malaysia
4. climb kinabalu mount-->the flight to kk (4 days stay) is tonight. family matters, lain kali kena pergi!!!
5. dye my nail black-->ada jugak kena halau dengan interviewer kang
6. batu gajah street shopping-->huh, memang tak sempat
7. mandi ayer pancut kat tengah utp park tetengah hari-->aritu, almost tercapai da. salahkan ben10
8. stop buying CLEO for this 6months period *senang nk clear bilik nanti*-->terbabas beli one or two magazines. =P
9. eat healthy. fruit, salad, yogurt-->kindda healthy, tapi yogurt memang tak boleh telan. ada lactose-free yogurt tak??
10. highlight/dye my hair & new haircut-->tak sempat pergi salon pon
11. mandi kat sungkai hot spring-->selatan perak tak sempat pergi
12. hike bukit larut-->not hiking tho, ride the jeep
13. jengah zoo taiping&bukit merah-->memang betul2 jengah
14. dive kat pangkor-->went to pangkor, but not diving. just sunset seeing
 
so long "before graduate to do" list. maybe, "before tie-the-knot to do" list or "before pregnant to do" list will come next. muahaha

just done with my FYP presentation. even report still have to alter here and there, WTHeck! i am officially graduated and jobless. muahaha. anyhow, the presentation went smoothly, alhamdulillah~

this date, 23 years back was my parents wedding.

da dua hari i tito less than 5hours per day. bukan sebab beauty sleep ke apa, tapi tidur itu satu indulgence bila tidur selama 8hours per day. muahaha. i pon nasib baik tak tertransform jadi spesies nocturnal mata panda terjojol macam ikan guppy.

kalau orang lain pening2 sal FYP (final year project), i bet budak final sem chemical engineering pandang sebelah mata yang dikuyukan, disepetkan je kat FYP tuh compared to FYDP (final year plant design). eceh, belagak. FYP pon tak siap lagi nih. tsk, patut nya FYDP tu 21 credit hour, biar 1sem wat mende alah tu je. memang aneroxia la sorang2 muntah ngadap FYDP tuh. yela, kena select reactor type, arrange flow, arrange thermal & bed, optimize process pressure & temperature, calculate reactor volume, catalyst amount, select tube, determine number & lenght & thickness & arrangement & layout tube, calculate shell inside diameter (do you get it?? cik ben10 dengar halfway pon da penat. btw, yang i list nih tak sampai separuh pon, and, ni baru satu equipment. kitorang kena design 3 equipment sorang, altogether dengan yadayada part. read: economics, plant layout, control&instrumentation. again, panjang sangat nak list semua). lesson learnt: choose other engineering school other than chemical. muahaha

anyhow, arini i jog (lepas puas kena nag dengan cik ben10). boleh jugak hormon adrenaline i merembes keluar, selain jerawat stress yang da mula menonjolkan diri kat dahi i yang baru nak flawless. tsk

EDX y'all!!!

(EDX == Engineering Design eXhibition)

despite been evaluated by Dr Halim (i dengar ada student nanges2 kena dengan Dr Halim. lucky me perhaps) and Dr Moulay, AND incomplete research, my project got selected to EDX.

the EDX itself is a torture to me, as I hate crowded places and entertain people. the judging session is harsh. my poster boleh pulak buat drama, jatuh right before judging. panas telinga i, and i bet my face blushing. i stutter at first sampai asek sebut, "heavy metal can cause fatality if it ____ its toxic limit" dua kali kot sebut ayat tuh. lupe what "lebih" in english. aiyak! kat objective part baru i boleh compose myself and found my rhythm and sangat best counter soalan evaluaters lepas dapat first impression," oh, i've seen alot of this project last EDX". hahahaha

today, i langsung takde kat booth, pegi class hoccay! sembangat (read: semangat) pegi class, awal 5minutes woo. hari biasa takde event pon tak seawal nih. ehe. ok, enough with blahblahblah, my project got silver. nak bagi the medal to my SV la, as she's a new lecturer kat UTP and am her first student masuk EDX. btw, pity chemy department, langsung takde dapat gold. silver pon 2project je. yang lain semua bronze. terkejut kot. project peja cam best je. isk

ok. i read in lowyat forum (mind you some of the forumers are proffesional engineer, HRM manager in big company) that fresh graduate resume is preferably 1-2 pages. yet, a ****** advise, that 1pages resume reflect that you are a "LAZY" person.

ok, gear up peep. prepare your 6pages fresh graduate resume and 50 pages resume if you are 5years experiences. LOL

this is the last week before study week, yet i have millionss to settle. even me doubting i'll studying during that so-called "last minute study"

last week, i've three consecutive days of test, n i dun really study. am lab-ing with nade' all the time. that's wat chemical engineering made of right.lucky me da stdy earlier n focus in cls, so i just need quicklook tru as ma revision. =P


the hardest part is the weekend. Final Year Design Project aka FYDP y'all.berkampung gk la kt iCon lab tuh, pagi spi ke next pagi stay there. me, keyrol and shaheen worked our ass off to get it done before..TOMORROW~!!(28April2009).

we just manage to calculate material balance and converge the simulation yesterday afternoon, yet we have pages of report to be write. writting sth u *** is not easy. i wrote 2pages in the past two hours~!!! HAHAHA..

today, reluctantly wake up, i got the news, FYDP due postpost this thurs.yeah. now, i have time~~~

3^rd March 2009 [Isabelle’s bday. Happy bday girl~!], 9-12 PM we got to collect our internship hardcopy result at MPH.

Everybody get on their nerves. Me?! Yawn.

Even am not so thrilled with the 4 flats I got, but I found myself celebrating it at Batu Gajah KFC with ma love – excuse for us to eat outside UTP. Ktorg launch “makan dalam UTP for a week” campaign since 2^nd March.haha

1. industrial environment engineering – so0o not Faezah ramly. Tito cls HSE, safety, stdy last minute. R.E.J.E.C.T~!!!

2. process plant design – ber kenan gk la ngn “heat integration”, “ plant utility system” and “ process optimization” cm besh je. My 3rd option

3. gas and petrochemical engineering – hakhak.polymer? NO NO NO~!!!

4. process analysis and control – ak minat subjects offered. Ma 2nd choice

5. petroleum engineering (PE) – as am doing ma training in oil&gas industry, am curious to learn more. Minat, ok la. Am optimist can score the subjects. Ma PICK~!!!!!!!!!


Registration itself is the crucial part. With limited student allowed fer a major – 200 offered fer PE subjects, by 3rd November ak mmg “berdeshum” register. Dunno what’s the prob, within first 2 days mmg xleyh register. drop email to ithelpdesk, report to lecturer, alhamdulillah, by 5th November am registered as PE majoring student –tribute to nade’ fer the endless effort. U go girl~!!!

Lucky us register earlier as by 6th November, PE course already fulled – gilek ah.


Why PE?

Ma final year target;
• score – of course la
• njoy – hakhak.xsedar diri dh final year.
• Career wise – I opt fer upstream industry as am not the lab type of person. Ma aim, I wanna travel all around the world by the age 33, then I’ll settle down as senior engineer/senior manager/lecturer, either one, tgk kepada preference.


Btw, am dun do blind decision. I noe maself, n consult the expertise jugek. Ni adalah antare input that I got,

“pilih je major mana-mana yang ko nak. Yang penting,ko score, sebab that CGPA ko bawa sampai ke mati. Mana lah tau esok luse nak apply buat Master and PhD ke. Pasal narrow scope of PE, ko kena ingat, ko entitle as Chemical Degree, Majoring in PE. Plus, masa ko second year dulu, ko belajar pasal heat transfer, reaction, separation process, subject chemy. So, ko still boleh join other industry other than oil&gas. Btw, oil&gas industry itself is wide. U can choose to be service provider other than client(PETRONAS). Contoh service provider company are Ranhill Woley(plant design). Other than PETRONAS, ko boleh join SHELL ke, HALLIBURTON ke, EXXON MOBILE ke, BJ ke, SCHLUMBERGER ke. Kalau ko join these company, full utilize their training. The training will be at their centre, mostly in Texas. Their exam memang tough tapi,ko akan well acknowledged la pasal wireline ni. Dorg ada mock well,ko akan buat wireline intervention sendiri”
