[why] Nik Noor Iman

i believe in good name. what people called us, is what people pray for us. bak kata ustaz don, nama yang baik tak perlu panjang (nama anak aku panjang tho, jenuh nak isi form. padan muka. haha).

cari nama untuk anak memang exciting, and frustrating. tiba-tiba rasa semua nama best, or semua nama pun tak best.

mula-mula nak continue with the "F" initial legacy la kunun, yela, emak & bapak nye dua-dua initial F, so that macam ada continuation.

then we decided (actually am the one who decide, ben10 follow jerr diva nih), nak 2 syllable je, senang sebut, no more pet name ntah hape-hape yang takde maksud. kata nak mendoakan kan. plus, i recalled my friend (which happen named Iman) emak dia bagi nama pendek2 ke anak supaya senang sebut dalam doa. good point jugak kan.

sebab orang selalu tanya nama sekian-sekian maksud apa, then we decided (again, diva nih jugak guna kuasa veto decide. muahaha), nak nama yang memang dah the literal meaning. (yeah yeah i know, ben10 selalu cakap hidup ai nih banyak sungguh do's and dont's)

tapi, 2 syllable with the name is literal meaning for "F" initial takde. sob sob sob.

so, discussed (kuasa veto ai lagi sekali), takpela tak continue with "F" initial legacy, asal nama 2 syllable with literal meaning. cari punya cari, berkenan ke nama "Iman" and "Ihsan". actually, i have several friends memang nama Iman, lelaki, perempuan, kawan U, kawan office, etc. tapi, good thing meant to be shared kan. hee

kalau ikut hati, nak je bagi nama Iman Bt Ben10. tapi, Iman nih ambiguous, people can mistaken the gender. so, to avoid fitnah, tambah la "Noor" (adopt nama ai, kan diva. haha). Then, permintaan family to keep the suffix "Nik". end up panjang jugak nama anak aku. haha

Apa-apa pun, i try to nurture others to call my baby as Iman (sometimes tersasul jugak panggil chang chang la, cenonet la, manman la. haha), hopefully by that orang mendoakan anak ai sentiasa beriman kepada Allah SWT. amin~

parenthood journey: labor of Iman (delayed post)

now, the labor stage pulak.

AM
initially, it was the 40th week check-up on 19 Sept 2012. everything goes wrong that day. both of us bangun lambat (biasa pukul 8 am da terpacak), missed turn twice. end up we reached an-nur at 9am, the latest we have ever been. luckily, waiting turn kejap je despite number 11 (biasa dapat 2nd turn)

doc scanned and the water is about 11cm2. doc siap bid farewell dengan ucapan, "see you next week, kalau tak beranak juga i have to induce you". when i told her my blood show masa buat urine test tadi. doc pun checked opening and surprised da 3 cm opened. as doc asked, i informed la yang i tak rasa sakit. terus doc do something with my opening, "this for you to feel a "little" pain. and you have to be admitted immediately"
being stubborn me, i replied, "boleh tak i masuk ward later, i nak jalan-jalan dulu. my friend kata lagi senang beranak" (yeah, i menjawab like that). doc bagi dengan syarat kena checked baby heartbeat. the test turned out ok, so i boleh merayau first. yay!!

(oh btw, the GM calling me asked about work around this time. haha)

MIDDAY
merayau tak jauh pun, Alamanda je. tapi melantak semua food yang bakal dirindui. Triple choc dunkin donut, Tutti fruity, SushiKing. pizza tak sempat makan perut da bloated sangat da. this time i da rasa contraction, like every 10-15 minutes. ya Allah, sakit. i literally stopped walking time contraction. tu la, degil kan

balik rumah, packing macam nak balik kampung, 2 bags. yeah, i want to feel like home. end up, tak pakai pun all those things. almost everything provided by an-nur. it is easier that way. i pulak penggeli, tukar baju tak hingat

ASAR
after asar, we went back to an-nur. makan kat mohd chan first, konon2 energy nak meneran. due to contraction, i larat abeskan half of the nasi ayam je.

MAGHRIB
masa nak check-in ward around maghrib, when told contraction every 10 minutes, terus kena masuk labor room. takde nak rest2 lam ward dulu. haha checked, baru (?) 4cm opened. nurse bagi ubat yakyak. sempat la sembahyang maghrib berjemaah dengan ben dalam labor room. At 8pm, when ben is putting our things & washing up in soon-will-be my ward, the midwife suggested me to take epidural. yela, everytime contraction nangis sampai sedu2. hover sangatt.

ISYAK
as i da amek epidural, the nurses helped me for abulation. still sembahyang isyak berjemaah dengan ben, even i kat atas katil. and then i throwed up, trice. o0o, rupanya kalau nak amek epidural tak boleh makan tau kawan2. epidural effect akan kosongkan your stomach

11pm
it's already 5cm opened, then doc Fatimah broke the water. the doc expected the labor will be 5am in the morning

12am
i called my parents, mintak maaf, mengadu sakit (haha, manjerr). texted my closed friends informing the news. ben is always by my side, recite zikir sama-sama (an-nur memang pasang CD zikir/mengaji kat labor room, with zikir printed everywhere). kejap-kejap, bagi i minum air akar fatimah (thanks kak hana!!! really appreciate it). midwife pesan, kalau rasa nak yakyak, it is the cue. then i called the midwife sebab rasa macam da beranak. the midwife muka ketat (sebab i manja & mengada sangat kot. sakit je nangis beriya. haha). check2, da 8cm opened. gelabah midwife suruh call the gynae, prepare apa yang patut. ajar cara meneran (tak sempat pergi antenatal class.rugi.)

12.45am
tiba-tiba ada little creature atas perut i, "eh, baby da keluar aku teran apa ni". hahaha. alhamdulillah, the baby is safe, delivered via  SVD (spontaneus vaginal delivery), with episiotomy. doc ingat awal2t that baby kecik than 3kg as per scanned, turned out, baby i tinggi, thus the weight is spread out - 2.9 kg, 52cm (my-baby-is-the-best syndrome, every proud mommy has it :))

1am
my MIL and SIL arrived an-nur

- 3 signs of labor (either of three) - as quoted by doc Fatimah (my gynae)
1. water breaks
2. blood shows
3. contraction (stomach cramped)

- meneran - as taught by my midwife
1. breath in, panjang2
2. breath out, without sound, without angkat ur buttock (avoid tearing)
3. stop awhile, jangan breath in termengah-mengah as the baby's head will be sucked in
4. repeat until baby keluar

**thanks Allah for the easy pregnancy. honestly, i cant thank you much. Love you Allah soo much

First Trimester

i was taking precaution measure prior having lasik scheduled on 9 Feb 2012. yela, i'd live my life 24years already, if happen "berisi" and anything happen, the baby just nak start living. tu pun, 2, 3 hari jugak UPT  tuh terkepuk lam handbag. 27 Jan 2012, Friday morning i just done the UPT so that i can confirm my operation. in no time it turns positive. terkedu sat. pagi tuh both of us duduk mengadap masing-masing (tiba2 hari tu masuk office lambat sorang2 - 8.30am.hoho), blur. "ok, so test positive. now, what?". kitorang decided to asked the senior colleagues at the office. the next day we done another pregnancy test at the clinic to double confirm the pregnancy. as people surround me ada 2,3 orang miscarriage, plus the first trimester is the crucial stage, we just informed the news to the family and closed friends je.

dan dan ben10 kata, "padan la you naik berat lately even xberapa makan. and sometimes you makan banyak". hoho. my weight shoot up from 47kg to 53kg, before tahu i pregnant. da tau pregnant terus allergic nasi, boleh? i tak boleh bau nasi, tengok nasi, even at one time tak boleh dengar pun orang sebut nasi. other than than, bau food/memasak, kari2, sup2, lauk-pauk, body odor lam LRT esp after office hour semua cannot tahan one. surely the baby will have my stomach, as ben10 tuh pure melayu, menggigil kalau tak dapat nasi even sehari. sebab i tak boleh nak makan (i did try makan nasi 2 suap, terus throw up. thus, makan chocolate, roti - suka bau bakery, buah, jajan je) my first pregnancy check up shows 50kg. haha, tak pasal2 diet.

5 weeks

the first baby scan on 14 February 2012. the embryo is 8 weeks, 1.89 cm long. my EDD shift to 23 September 2012. i got to witness the very first heartbeat, macam nak nangis pun ada, tapi tahan je la, diri sendiri je sorang2 wow, doc & nurse da biasa tengok da (ben10 last minute ada important meeting so cannot join the magical moment. wuu)

second month

pregnant jugak. auw, growing "fat" together is true love

masa 3rd month check up sangat mengharukan. the baby grows soo fast, than last check up. siap buat somersault lagi. auw. macam casper je nampak terapung-apung dalam perut tuh

third month. aunties & uncles senget tak jumpa iman lagi~~~

Second Trimester

i tak sedar pun i da masuk second trimester (4th month) sebab perut tak obvious pun. still tak dapat privilege duduk dalam LRT. hehe. alhamdulillah, it sort of easy pregnancy (other than minor sickness), sampai my boss cakap i tak macam pregnant, energetic pergi meeting angkut segala barang pergi sana sini. ada some of my colleagues pun tak expect i pregnant. just that dorang tak tahu, hari-hari pukul 9 i da dah selamat beradu da. best la ben10 leh conquer tv & internet. huu

upon the 4th month check-up, doctor prescribed i ada atopic eczema (allergy to some food, pollen, dust, etc). padan la kulit "mahal" sangat -_-". the doctor advised me to exclusively breastfeeding my baby, at least till 6 months old tuk elakkan the baby get my sensitive skin. inshaAllah boleh :)

i think i felt the first movement in week 19, but it is vague.tapi, excited la, the "movement" makin rancak when ben10 and i borak and time nak tidur (habis la, baby nih macam berjaga malam je). time nih jugak adalah i merasa kaki bengkak ( tapi kejap je, maybe sebab melantak banyak sangat kat rumah mama. hoho) and cramped leg. at these time jugak i boleh take heavy meal during breakfast je, lunch & dinner either fruits / roti, kalau tak, selamat la muntah.

21 weeks

6th month check up weight da pick up, both baby & i (650 g & 54 kg, respectively). doctor very concern suruh i careful tamau baby besar sangat

Third trimester

7th month, i dapat heavy brownish discharge for 2 days & given anti-fungal med. the doctor not soo worried, so i guess it is common occasion. dia lebih risau kan my weight gain, as i am now 59 kg, the heaviest as i lived (mana tak nye, even perut da sempit makanan asik keluar balik, tapi melantak coklat tak hengat dunia kot). luckily the baby just weighted 700g, M size kata doctor. da masuk 3rd trimester nih baru nampak & confirm gender baby. selama nih pemalu sangat, asik tutup je. nasib la, my mama da bebel so da beli baju siap2, set theme color je, putih & merah. ihiks

the planned check up kat kelantan tak menjadi (ben nak sangat anak dapat privilege kelantan) sebab takde masa & my mama busy (mengalahkan menteri)

the movingment, precisely ombak2 makin obvious. suka dia eh time meeting. sibuk nak meeting jugak, kicking bukan main rancak. takpun, kejut mommy bangun sahur. alololo~

seventh month

seventh month. angkut laptop and LCD for meeting during puasa

8th month, start check up kat an-nur bangi. back up kalau tak sempat balik kelantan. tak fully covered buat cara tak fully covered la kan. ihiks. the nurse & doctor semua comment perut kecik. ayat reply standard,"senang nak kurus balik nanti".haha. alhamdulillah, takde complication apa2, just doctor highlight my mama health concern (family history stated). berat pun turun 2 kg, & baby tiba2 masuk category S size (1.6 kg instead of 1.8 kg).worry not, long way to go. this time around, terbaik punya baby bagi view kat doctor, tulang belakang. tsk, ikut mommy suka tito tiarap la nih. no good la baby.

8.5th month check up, the doc still give the same remark, expecting the baby not gaining weight looking at my tummy size. skali ko, membesar bak juara, baby ngam2 2kg, ideal weight. good baby!!!

8.75th month check up at KPJ Perdana KB. susah betul nak jumpa doc nye, yela, musim2 raya ni kan. still dapat the same remark but baby is at 2.2kg. melantak raya kot. mana taknya, 2 malam taleh tidur heartburn makan banyak sangat. kena pulak sambal legend mama, memang selamat la.

2012 eid ul fitr

unfortunately, we got dilemma. tukang jaga & urut yang wan booked kena hangkut pergi KL. plan asalnya nak berpantang rumah wan, but wan is just there to main2 ngan first cicit. ihiks. our back-up plan, beranak & pantang kat KL. plus, service tukang jaga & urut kat KL ni senang nak cari.

9th month, i feel kind of heavy and got backpain. ben kata, bengkak jugak la kat belakang tuh. google pregnancy massage and its save unless u mess with the perut and tapak kaki. to make it worst, i had diarrhea, vomitting & high fever sampai suspected dengue. memang melepek kat rumah, hancus open house visit.

38weeks check-up, baby is just 50% engaged. so still keje. baby is workaholic just like PK1. hoho

39weeks check-up baru baby engaged. but still jalan keluar not there yet. at last dapat cuti starting 14 September 2013 (even then i still went to work, ada workshop. so tak boleh jumpa Prince William and Duchess that day. wuu)

40weeks check-up, doc memang da bid goodbye when i blurted out, "i think ada show during urine test tadi".jeng jeng jeng....

14 feb 2012: the first check-up, without ben10 (he got adhoc meeting). auw, the heartbeat sound makes me touchy2

tummy growth spurt. yerp, the tummy obvious when am entering 3rd trimester. baru la dapat privilege duduk dalam LRT :)

- no severe sickness, except tak boleh tengok, bau, sebut, makan nasi and tak boleh bau memasak, lauk-pauk, body odor especially otw back dalam LRT. so, sebulan tuh memang makan ntah apa-apa, coklat, strawberry, bakery, etc.

- sangat energetic. angkut laptop, projector, meeting misc ke hulur hilir sampai orang office tak notice pun my pregnancy, yet pukul 9 da selamat beradu da. penat oi

- got atopic eczema in 4th month

- sensed the movement in 4th month. baby paling suka kicking masa meeting, borak2 ngan ben10, nak tidur malam and kejut subuh/sahur. yeah, baby Iman memang banyak mulut now

- 5th month, appetite merudum. so i make sure i had heavy breakfast, and co-ko-yets, my energy booster

- brownish discharge for 2 days during my 7th month and prescribed anti-fungal meds

- gender is confirmed in 7th month. baby pemalu sangat

- mild backpain, swollen leg and cramped led in 9th month

- diarrhea, heartburn, high fever (until suspected dengue) in 9th month

every day i google xxth week pregnancy and read all web available.best tau when you know every development stage of the baby, when it became fetus, develop the vital organ, what the baby can do, etc. rasa macam ada benda comel dalam perut. hee

btw, this  is something for us both. it is a life changing experience, alhamdulillah and inshaAllah both of us do hard to be a better person. we are now have a bigger responsible, and before betulkan orang, betulkan diri sendiri dulu kan :).

i'm engaged. gosh, I AM SOMEONE'S FIANCE NOW. macam tak percaya jugak, it's surreal!!!

the majlis went well alhamdulillah. simple, yet meaningful. paling best bila rombongan ben10 (hurm, cam kena tukar gelaran je >.<) berduyun2 sampai, rupa2nya, someone from his side penah jadi cikgu someone from my side, and vice versa. his auntie selalu beli ikan ngan wan, his uncle selalu lepak kedai kopi ngan abah, macam2 kebetulan lah. bak kata pak uda, saudara ben ada alek depan, belakang, kiri, kanan kita :)). alhamdulillah, memang dipermudahkan. bila discuss pon, takdela awkward sangat. more like reunion :PP. i felt very much welcomed to his family, and i hope he felt the same way too.

**speechless. tak tau sebab da lama tak update blog, or still excited terkejut da bertunang.

btw, i would like to credit all these people for their help & support, kalau tak, tak menjadi majlis nih :)
